I must post this picture eh, copied from Kaien's blog. hahaha. Though that day i was quite tired but i am so attracted to the unity of the fellowship and also to the pretty birthday girl=) haha!!
That was tues, monday i went to SBC to payy Liu Wei some ppt we made before, then wed we had YF meeting. (Somehow i like those gatherings in the middle of the week, though at first i will normally be lazy to go)
Yep, then on thurs we had praise and worship prac,after tat buddy sent me home...so sweet of her to sent me back. then on friday, rest day(stay at home with yu to watch HK show-Qian Huang Bai Ji)
On sat, praise and worship, kaien came to fetch me in the morning, and sinliang. haha.. we went to buy breakfast and head for the tradehub. we start our practise officially at 1130. Winson, sarah and me are trying so hard to contain our voices. hee~ i thought the unity within the team is not bad. somehow, i see love, from everybody.
Then it was the actually thing, I thank God so much for answering my prayer of giving me a good voice, i thank God for allowing the drum to work well. Although a true worship focus is not in the instrument and stuff, we tried our best to give the best we can give. The best environment we can provide for ppl to come into the house of worship.
WenGuang also provide useful pointers for me how to lead in the worship. the technical side, but my heart is personally encouraged by God when i tried to memorise the following verses with Yuhang.
It was in Psalm 119, the last 8 verses:
May my cry come before You O'Lord;GIve me understanding according to Your word.
May my supplication come before You;
Deliver me according to Your promise.
May my lips overflow with praise;
for you teach me your decrees.
May my tongue sing of Your Word;
for all Your commands are righteous.
May Your Hands be ready to help me;
for i have chosen Your precepts.
How I long for your salvation, O Lord,
For Your law is my delight
I have strayed like a lost sheep,
seek your servant;
for i have not forgotten your commands
Isnt that so sweet of this prayer to God just at this time when i am going to lead a worship. This is my prayer to God as well. I respect the psalmist for knowing where he is (lost) and his heart to seek God.
The whole week, i was not or did not really and properly sit down and have tea with God but still He grace is sufficient. He tell me how his servant pray to Him, how i should lead a worship, what kind of attitude i should bring.
Well, i think we can have talented ppl all around, but to really seek God, seek to worship Him is our own heart. It is not abt anything, of course the environment might affects but when we began to see human, we won't see God. God has been teaching me how to see Him and only him though many times i have strayed away like a sheep. I am still learning. It is hard especially when worshipping, every little things can draw my attention.
I curse my own selfish, judgemental heart that forbid me to see God. I thank God for showing His love thru the cross. I lead the song ' When i survey the wondrous cross' though it kidna bring down the mood but i really love that song. how the writer see himselves when he pondered upon the death of God.
Sunday was another day i learnt from another persective to look to the Bible. Shall share more when i have the chance.
"Jesus, how worthy u are for us to praise and adore You. Your Name is beyond all names! So sorry that many times Your name be down graded by us, and Your grace became cheap grace. May all ppl whom You have chosen live a life worthy of the gospel of You. "
